Bands, Signet and Spinner Rings Without Stones
With no stone in them, these rings take their look from the metal, its shape and its finish.
Most of the collection is bands, and choosing one comes down to the metal, the width and the profile, which is the shape you would see if you cut through the band. A court profile, the most traditional, has curved surfaces, while a D-shape is flat on the inside and curved on the outside.
The metals include sterling silver, tungsten carbide, gold, titanium, stainless steel and palladium, a grey-white precious metal used in jewellery in place of platinum. Tungsten carbide is very hard, and it is a popular choice for men's wedding bands and for people who work with their hands.
Finishes range from polished and brushed to hammered and faceted, and some rings have a black, blue or gold-tone coating, a rose-tone edge, or a contrasting channel or inlay.
Alongside the bands are signet rings, with their flat face, and spinner rings, where an outer band turns freely around a fixed inner one. There are Celtic designs too, and Claddagh rings, whose crowned heart held by two hands traditionally stands for love, loyalty and friendship.
