Carathea and Jools is a family-run contemporary High Street jewellers in Bridgwater, Somerset and online here. Our shop, Jools, (sketched by my 16-year old daughter below!), as well as offering silver, gold and gem-set jewellery also offer watch battery replacement whilst you wait as well as watch and jewellery repairs. We stock some great brands, including Clogau Gold, Coeur de Lion, Diamonfire, Chlobo, to name but a few and watch brands such as Festina, Bering, Sekonda and Storm London.

We have previously had shops in Bristol and Street.

We are passionate about bringing our customers beautiful and luxurious jewellery which is of the best quality but is also affordable.  

Our aim, whether through our website, our blog or in our shop is to give genuine advice and offer an honest service and for our customers to feel great about their interaction with us.

It makes our day if we've managed to tick all the boxes and when you are as delighted with your purchase months and years after you've purchased it as you were on the day you bought it.

We get to know our customers as they come back to visit us again and again and we deeply value this relationship with our customers.  It is truly the best part of the job.

Denise had many decades in retail before her own business, working for her parents in their retail business. Whether it was in their ladies fashion shops, cane furniture shop, pet shop, greengrocers or jewellers, she helped them wherever they needed her.

Needing to support their young family, Denise opened her own shop when the youngest of her three children was three and her eldest child was nine. 

It was rewarding but very hard work, all through the children's school years. Many a time the children had to go to work with her, packed with craft materials and toys! 

The children are now all grown up and each have a strong work ethic. All three of them, as well as her partner, have worked in the shop and helped on the website at some point. 

Denise is eternally grateful for the love, support and encouragement of her partner and children - their unwavering love is everything to her. 

We hope to support Bridgwater's jewellery needs for many more years and continue to nurture lasting relationships with our customers, both in-store and online.
