Pavé-Set Earrings, Necklaces and Rings
Pavé jewellery takes its name from the French for "paved", because the design involves setting lots of small stones next to each other to cover a surface, like paving.
This detailed work means creating a small hole for each stone to sit in, where it is held in place by tiny beads of metal. Jewellery makers often surround one large centre stone with a ring of pavé-set stones, because the contrast in size makes the centrepiece look bigger and draws the eye to it.
The collection includes earrings, necklaces and rings, some covered in pavé and others using it as a halo or an accent, with stones including cubic zirconia, diamond and white topaz. The metals include sterling silver, gold plate over silver and solid gold.
