Each of the three looks quite different. Moonstone has a glow that seems to drift across its surface as the stone moves, and alexandrite is green in daylight but turns red under lamplight. Pearl is a soft gem and is best kept away from perfume and hairspray, so it is worth putting on after both.
The month also has two birth flowers, the rose and the honeysuckle, and June birthdays fall under two star signs: Gemini up to 21 June and Cancer from about 22 June.
