The ornament can hang from a hook, a lever-back or a stud. A hook is a curved wire that passes through the piercing, with the drop at its other end. A lever-back has a small hinged lever that snaps shut against the wire to hold it on the ear, and a stud is a post, usually secured behind the lobe by a back, with the drop suspended beneath it.
The collection includes teardrop shapes, rounded at the bottom and tapering to a point at the top, as well as hearts, flowers and cubes. Many have crystal, cubic zirconia, pearl, diamond or a coloured stone such as amethyst or blue topaz. Metals include sterling silver, stainless steel, and gold or gold-plated designs.
Stud earrings and hoop earrings are two other popular styles, or you can browse our complete earring collection.
