His hand-crafted jewellery can be made up in silver or gold and bangles can be made in different sizes.
John Garland-Taylor trained as a smith and has worked with silver for over 50 years. He originally restored armour for the National Trust and Warwick Castle but, in the last 30 years turned his hands to designing jewellery which he makes from Warwickshire. His two sons has also joined him in the family business.
Each and every piece is solid silver (never hollow) and has his 'GT' armourers mark plus they are hallmarked at he Birmingham assay office. Each piece is hand-made to order, hence different sizes can be accomodated. The standard bangle size is 20-21 cm. The measurements are taken on the internal circumference in centimetres.
John Garland-Taylor's 'GT' armourers mark was originally used to distinguish pieces of armour that John had crafted. He has carried this tradition over onto his hand-made jewellery pieces - you will find this mark on every piece of John's jewellery.
