You may have noticed that advent calendars have got way more interesting in recent years. From toys, to perfume and even to cheeses, the days of a square of chocolate behind each window doesn't seem quite as exciting as it once did.
A number of jewellery brands have introduced their own advent calendars - the Missoma one has been going for some years and sells out very quickly every year. Most of the advent calendars with jewellery are for 12-days, although there are some 24-day ones. They normally offer a huge discount on buying the items individually.
These advent calendar's offer a great alternative to a main Christmas present, You can savour opening it over 12 days in the lead up to Christmas, instead of a few minutes on Christmas day. Our second calendar featured, from Clogau Gold, is designed to be opened from December 25th onwards - making it a fabulous Christmas gift.
Here we've listed our favourites. Be quick though - these calendars don't hang around very long but sell out very quickly every year. The Joma Jewellery one we had on our list has already sold out and so, sadly, we can't include it.
If you scroll to the bottom there's even a great children's Advent Calendar.
